My film would probably be awarded with an 18 certificate as
it contains specific acts of graphic violence which would be unsuitable for the
younger audience to view. There will be scenes of harm and abuse being
inflicted on multiple subjects where most will appear on-screen. My film will
also involve themes of disturbing and psychological horrors. It will be heavily
focussed on the violent features of the film as the story is constructed around
‘games’ of violent nature in which the subjects must participate.
Behavioural aspects in my film will be mostly under the
influence of the main character's unstable mentality. At first, it goes
undetected but there will be clear signs of said character's psychological
state leading up to the violent acts indirectly committed by them. Games
devised by the antagonist will involve household objects which are easily
obtainable and acts used with them can be easily emulated by the consumers.
Throughout my film, there will be a constant threat to the
characters' lives as soon as the antagonist presents signs of mental
abnormalities. They are put up against each other in the ‘games’ acting as the
antagonist’s pawns; their loyalty and morality is put to the test.
No drugs of any form will appear in my film. However, there
will be use of poison at the beginning, resulting in death for one of the
characters. There will be no mention or reference as to where to obtain it, how
to use it or what it is specifically called.
In my film, there will be strong language; specifically in reaction to the
verbal and physical abuse imposed on the characters. There will be no
homophobic, sexist or racist remarks included. However, there may be implications of offensive language such as these made by a single character due to their mental illness.
